We are currently looking for an experienced Cost Control Analyst to join our finance team at Mercedes-Benz of Exeter. You will report to the Group Finance Director and act as the fresh eyes needed to delve deeper into what we currently do and why is costs to do so.

You will hold high levels of computer skills, hold relevant prior experience and host high degrees of analytical skills with strong attention to detail / accuracy.

You will be an integral part of the finance team, therefore the ability to collaborate and work as a team is vitally important.

£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Working Hours:

This is a fixed term contract for a 6 month period. We are happy to discuss working hours with the successful candidate, however ideally looking for someone to work a minimum of 30 hours across 4 days per week.

Cost Control Analyst Responsibilities:

Due Diligence:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of our group cost structure & method of reporting and apportioning costs.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our systems used to manage our business and the interfaces between them.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our supply chain across our business and the differences across our group.
  • Fact-find on various topics across the whole group of companies working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Establish mutually beneficial and trustful relationships with all stakeholders across the group.
  • Collate accurate and robust data to present to the project group to enable decision making and prioritisation.
  • Identify areas of lack of process or lack of standardisation across the group causing inefficiencies.

Prioritisation of Work:

  • Able to take instruction from GFD and provide regular updates as to which areas are being progressed.
  • Maintain a master data base copy of project data and present that information to the project group for discussion and to agree actions and priorities.
  • Able to present that data to the project group for discussion and agreement.
  • Multi-task – able to collate and progress several topics at any one time working with multiple stakeholders.

As a new and exciting venture into the rental world, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help us grow and build Snap Car Hire. We are therefore looking for an Rental Administrator to join the team based in Hill Barton, Exeter.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 08.30 – 17:30 with a 1 hour lunch.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Communicates the Snap Car Hire culture of quality and excellence
  • Provides administrative support to the team in line with the company and Snap Car Hire standards and processes

Assistant Service Manager Responsibilities

Warranty Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Administers all agreed Warranty claims in line with the company and Mercedes- Benz standards and processes
  • Provides advice on Warranty claims in line with the vehicle Warranty procedures
  • Ensures requests for advice, if the warranty falls outside of normal procedures, are referred to the manufacturer
  • Examines outstanding Warranty debts and takes action to recover
  • Investigates rejected claims ensuring all claims are accounted for and charged by the service department
  • Provides accurate Warranty records on submissions, credits, rejections and customer contributions
  • Communicates with the parts department the return or disposal of parts
  • Liaises with the Service Team Leader, reviewing quality reports, processes and procedures, suggesting improvements
  • Implements Warranty audits
