Assist Service Team Leader as appropriate by ensuring the efficient operation of the parts supply and stock. Deliver and maintain high standards in line with the business needs as well as the franchise contract. Help ensure the efficient operation of the workshop team to maximise its productivity. 

Job Scope:

  • Shares responsibility for the workshop team with Service Team Leader
  • Responsible for developing parts sales business, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company’s products and services
  • Responsible for the Parts Supply & Vehicle Preparation process
  • Financial – Parts stock control and vehicle preparation costs in line with company guidelines
  • Controls used and non franchise vehicle servicing and maintenance both internally and with outside contractors

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Promotes the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence
  • Helps monitor workshop loading, ensuring continuity to maximise productivity
  • Develops parts sales business, identifying new business opportunities, streamlines processes in order to increase efficiencies
  • Effectively liaises with relevant departments across the business
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to accurately interpret manufacturer parts deliveries
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to replenish stock in line with company warehouse location system
  • Ensures all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Builds good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Ensures all capital outlay is approved by their line manager
  • Responsible to ensure work space is maintained in a clean and tidy state at all times
  • Run petty cash for Hill Barton Site
