To develop and deliver effective and efficient digital and direct marketing activity to support prospective and existing customer journeys. To curate and create engaging marketing content to increase brand awareness and engagement. Role weight is 80% Digital Marketing (email and website) and 20% Direct Marketing and Internal Communications (direct mail, internal staff magazine and internal comms).

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000

Job Scope:

  • Curate, develop and broadcast tactical and routine e-mail communications aligned to the customer journey
  • Content creation for e-marketing, blog posts, website landing pages and PR
  • Consider and pilot automation paths for website/event data capture
  • Establish internal communications via direct channels
  • Creation and implementation of direct mail campaigns to captivate the attention of prospect and existing customers
  • Optimise GDPR compliance and MBSW preference centre
  • Analyse and report on success of activity aligned with MBSW KPIs and retailer requirements

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Creation and implementation of a content planner to support marketing activities of the team
  • Develop personalised/segmented e-news communications for MBPC, smart and LBDM
  • Build intelligent and regularly audit routine communications e.g Service reminders/accessories
  • Scope and integrate tracking (pixels, measurable numbers etc) to grow attribution and journey transparency
  • Source, commission and edit lifestyle content for internal/external magazine
  • Create and manage direct mail sends personalising to customer’s interaction ie model and interests
  • Report on individual activity, tracking hand-raisers and sharing relevant data with sites ie openers/clickers
  • Ensure all outgoing material is professional, proof read and legally compliant
  • Mystery shop competitors bi-annually to understand competitor communication and customer journey
  • Champion culture change within CWC business through effective commercially aligned reporting
  • Provide support to each retailer to achieve an optimal utilisation direct & email activity
  • Communicate clearly, regularly and promptly with colleagues across all business areas
  • Communicate the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence through channels of influence
  • Identify training and development needs for yourself as part of the personal development process
  • Ensure all capital outlay is authorised by Group Marketing Manager

Knowledge & Specific Job Skills

  • Min 3 year digital marketing experience
  • Proven track record in email marketing – automaton experience preferred
  • HTML coding competent
  • Confident copy-writer
  • A strong understanding of Google Analytics and other tracking platforms
  • Experience with implementing SEO strategies
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign – desirable
  • Good telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic and driven self-starter
  • Flexible and professional
