Salary: £37,000 (OTE £75,000)

Job Scope

  • Responsible for the fleet sales departments for the Mercedes-Benz & smart franchises
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with third party aggregators and funders
  • KPI’s – sales targets, managing agreed budgets & costs, and retained gross and net profit
  • Responsible for designing and implementing our customer journey

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Communicates the Mercedes-Benz and City West Country culture of quality and excellence
  • Manages and develop new routes to market, and sales operation in line with the company and Mercedes- Benz standards and processes
  • Maximises sales opportunities in line with targets set
  • Formulate sales targets for each sales team member and aggregator, providing support
  • Delivers fleet sales, controlling costs and profit margins to meet business targets
  • Formulates and implements marketing plans for the business
  • Analyses current procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Communicates and influences colleagues across all business areas
  • Initiates sales meetings to drive sales and generate ideas/solutions from the team
  • Communicates and develops strong personal relationships with customers to maintain their continued loyalty
  • Consults with customers and aggregators to establish their needs to deliver a high level of service
  • Instigates meetings with account managers, aggregators and funders to maximise mutual opportunities
  • Reviews customer satisfaction and implements improvements through the team
  • Ensures the premises are presented to the highest standard
  • Manages resource allocation to optimise seasonal and promotional peaks
  • Maximises the use of all advertising and point of sale literature
  • Ensures the sales team have full knowledge and understanding of product, promotional and marketing activities
  • Provides training and support to the team to improve product knowledge and competitor awareness to increase sales opportunities
  • Develops the capabilities of individuals/team through the performance management process providing coaching/training
  • Ensures all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Builds good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Ensures all capital outlay is authorised by their line manager or a director

Knowledge & Specific Job Skills

  • Previous fleet sales experience within the passenger car industry
  • Proven ability of delivering sales with their team, whilst maintaining high levels of customer experience
  • Specialist knowledge of F&I, consumer law and distance sales
