We are currently looking for an IT Support Technician at our site in Exeter. Within the role you will be responsible for providing support to the business information system and its users. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. This role will require occasional travel to our sites through out the South West (Truro, Plymouth, Exeter & Taunton) a vehicle is provided for the use of travelling to sites.

IT Support Technician Responsibilities:

  • Communicates the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence
  • Provides IT support in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Provide first point of contact for user and system issues
  • Provide assistance where able and appropriate; reports back to line manager for further guidance if necessary
  • Works with line manager to provide an increasing amount of support to the business
  • Maintains technical knowledge in order to support colleagues and business systems
  • Communicates relevant IT expertise to colleagues to influence the business
  • Assists in ensuring that the company maintains legal standards for licensing and software use
  • Provides point of contact for IT suppliers
  • Delivers a high level of customer service across the business
  • Communicates and develops strong personal relationships with customers
  • Communicates clearly, regularly and promptly with colleagues across all business area
  • Identifies training and development needs for self as part of the performance management process
  • Ensures all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Builds good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Ensures all capital outlay is authorised by their line manager or a director
