Our business employs 600 staff who are based across 9 sites throughout the South West, which includes our 4 dealerships which are based at Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth and Truro.

We are currently looking for a Parts Advisor at our site in Plymouth. The working hours for this position are Monday 08:00 -17:30 then Tuesday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00. 1 in 4 Saturday’s will also be required. The successful candidate will be dealing with both internal and external customers and also being responsible for developing parts sales business, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company’s products and services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promotes the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence
  • Delivers sales in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Develops parts sales business, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company’s products and services
  • Ensures monies are collected from customers for all cash invoices and being responsible for its safekeeping
  • Effectively liaises with relevant departments across the business
  • Gives customer focus priority throughout the parts operation
  • Communicates and develops strong professional relationships with customers to deliver a high level of service
  • Ensures that the customer is fully informed of any changes to costs including invoice explanation and advising on any future requirements
  • Ensures that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the Parts Supervisor/Manager
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to accurately interpret manufacturer parts deliveries
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to replenish stock in line with company warehouse location system
  • Ensures all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Builds good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Maintains effective service information by ensuring all relevant marketing information is maintained on the customer/prospect database
  • Ensures all capital outlay is approved by their line manager or a director
