We are currently looking for a Parts Advisor at our site in Taunton. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday shift pattern, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 + Saturday’s on a rota basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the parts sales business by identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company’s products and services. You will also be responsible for the day to day efficiencies of the parts department through the effective supervision of the team of advisors and drivers.

Salary:

£26,000 per annum (plus £3,000 OTE bonus)

Parts Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence
  • Delivers sales in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Develops parts sales business, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company’s products and services
  • Achieves parts sales targets and highlights any special promotions
  • Ensures monies are collected from customers for all cash invoices and being responsible for its safekeeping
  • Accepts all parts returns from customers and issues goods return notes
  • Effectively liaises with relevant departments across the business
  • Gives customer focus priority throughout the parts operation
  • Communicates and develops strong professional relationships with customers to deliver a high level of service
  • Ensures that the customer is fully informed of any changes to costs including invoice explanation and advising on any future requirements
  • Ensures that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the Parts Manager
  • Identifies training and development needs for self as part of the performance management process
  • Ensures all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Builds good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Maintains effective service information by ensuring all relevant marketing information is maintained on the customer/prospect database
  • Ensures all capital outlay is approved by their line manager or a director

  • Competent IT Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years Parts experience
