We are currently looking for a Trainee Parts Advisor at our site in Truro. The working hours for this position are on a rota basis between Monday and Saturday 07:30-18:00, a total of 45 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be trained and supported in dealing with both internal and external customers and also building up to being responsible for developing parts sales business by promoting the company’s products and services.

Trainee Parts Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the Mercedes-Benz culture of quality and excellence
  • Assist to deliver sales in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Assist in the development of the parts sales business, promote the company’s products and services
  • Provide assistance to the parts team as required
  • Ensure monies are collected from customers for all cash invoices and being responsible for its safekeeping
  • Maintain effective communication with all levels of personnel
  • Assist in the customer focus priority throughout the parts operation
  • Refer any problems to line manager
  • Communicate and develop strong personal relationships with customers to deliver a high level of service
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to accurately interpret manufacturer parts deliveries
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to replenish stock in line with company warehouse location system
  • Ensure all areas of Health & Safety operate effectively and within the requirements of the law
  • Build good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers and statutory representatives
  • Maintain effective service information by ensuring all relevant marketing information is maintained on the customer/prospect database
  • Ensure all capital outlay is approved by their line manager or a director
