Mercedes-Benz of Exeter (Hill Barton) are currently looking for a Junior Administrator to join the team! We are looking for someone who has drive and determination and is looking for their first steps into the motor industry.

You will provide administrative support to the sales and logistics teams, have strong attention to detail and have outstanding interpersonal skills!

Junior Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to the sales and logistics teams in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Processes all requests for vehicles to be transferred, ensuring completion of all necessary documentation
  • Ensures all vehicles are removed from stock list and any necessary payments received
  • Completes stock maintenance records for the consignment of stock vehicles
  • Monitors all vehicle deliveries, update stock and DI records and track confirmed orders
  • Handles all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensures the Mercedes Benz Experience is delivered at all times
Used Car Prep Assistant

Our business employs 600 staff who are based across 9 sites throughout the South West, which includes our 4 dealerships which are based at Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth and Truro.

We are currently looking for a Used Car Prep Assistant at our site in Hill Barton, Exeter. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 with a 1 hour lunch break.

The successful candidate will assist with vehicle logistics on site, check all vehicles arriving on site and ensuring that they meet the required quality standards and ensure that the presentation of the site and new and used vehicle stocks is professional, clean and tidy.

Used Car Prep Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the receipt of all vehicles in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
  • Inspect all vehicles, checks for damage and missing items, informing the Compound Controller of any issues
  • Ensures dealer and inter group transfer vehicles are ready for collection to include keys and book pack
  • Assists with controlling key cabinets – issue keys to other sites and supervises drivers delivering and collecting vehicles. Ensures key tags and numbered mirror hangers are used
  • Ensures security at the compound is maintained and regularly checked and raises and issues with management
  • Delivers consistently high standards of accuracy and quality in completion duties
  • Provides assistance to management team as required

You will work closely with our workshop team ensuring that the flow of the work is organised and the workshop is utilised to its maximum capacity, whilst always maintaining our high levels of customer service expected.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prioritising customer requirements throughout the service operation
  • Responsible for ‘ front of house’ customer technical/ vehicle enquiries, customer road tests
  • Responsible to ensure every opportunity is met to achieve customer ‘Fix First Visit’
  • Monitors workshop loading, ensuring continuity to maximise productivity
  • Allocates the flow of work into the workshop, maximising available resources
  • Ensure adherence to company standards for quality control within the workshop – maintains a quality system
  • Adherence to VHC process & other compliance based documentation used daily.
  • Efficiently manages resources to deliver quality service on time
  • Responsible for delivering customer vehicles on time to a high standard

Customer Loyalty Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Participates in planning & working promotions and campaigns to promote customer loyalty
  • Communicates and develops strong personal relationships with customers
  • Communicates customer expectations/requirements to management
  • Offers sound advice and product knowledge to customers on vehicles, prices, specifications and technical data
  • Uses knowledge of the products and services on offer to build customer value
  • Assesses Finance return cars and conducts technical appraisals in collaboration with the Used Car Buyer and Transaction Manager
  • Completes vehicle familiarisation drives and demonstrates vehicle controls to all customers
  • Promotes sales and service packages/bolt ons in line with FCA requirements
  • Makes an appropriate referral to a Transaction Manager when a customer conversation results in a sales lead
  • Makes an appropriate referral to a Service Team Manager for any service requirements
  • Refers any customer complaints to the relevant line manager immediately
  • Concludes duties in a professional manner and with the best interest of the company
  • Organises all administrative aspects of the role in line with the customers expectation
  • Provides the customer with contacts in other departments to support the overall customer experience
