Celebrating 30 years of the Vito

Since its launch in 1995, the mid-size van has stood for uncompromising readiness for everyday tasks, impressive versatility and innovative technology in the commercial midsize van segment. From trades to maintenance and customer service operations, to police and ambulance services. Whether operated as an individual vehicle or in a large fleet, in a basic version or as supplied by one of the many upfitters of special transporters for food or emergency medical services: the Vito is a reliable partner that meets the requirements of many different industries. 

Thanks to modern safety and assistance systems, digital networking and the many available versions, it supports customers in their daily work. With the eVito, Mercedes‑Benz Vans has also offered an alternative for local CO₂-emission-free driving since 2018. The Vito and eVito show their strengths above all in urban environments, where their compact size not only allows them to fit into modern public parking garages, but also helps to keep country life running in narrow country lanes, like the ones we have here in the South West.

The latest Vito brings new levels of connectivity and comfort

The newest upgrade of the Vito was introduced to the UK just last year and included the MBUX multimedia system with 10.5-inch touchscreen- bringing modern infotainment to the model, with improved connectivity and new Digital Extras ^[1]. The safety features were also further improved, including the Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist.  

The exterior was updated with multibeam LED headlights, and the interior was enhanced with a new central console and the electric EASY-PACK tailgate, to increase accessibility. The standard features were also extensively upgraded and include features such as a heated driver’s seat, heated and electrically adjustable wing mirrors, TEMPMATIC Air Conditioning and Pre-Entry Climate Control on the eVito.

The Vito Panel Van, at a glance

The Vito Panel Van has long been the medium sized van of choice, and its availability in two different trim lines and two lengths means there's a configuration perfect for your business needs. It comes with a diesel engine with rear-wheel drive and can also be equipped with the AIRMATIC air suspension system^[h] for maximum comfort whilst driving.

Is the Crew for you?

With maximum flexibility with two vehicle length options, favourable load compartment capacity and space for up to 6 people, the versatile Vito Crew is the ultimate crew cab van. As standard, the Vito Crew comes with a diesel engine with rear-wheel drive and can also be equipped with the AIRMATIC air suspension system^[o], much like the Panel counterpart.

The interior of the Vito Crew is characterised by numerous storage options, wireless charging^[q] and a multifunction steering wheel. The MBUX multimedia system as well as the Smartphone Integration package help you to be optimally connected whilst you’re on-the-move. With a maximum cargo volume of 4.1 m³, you can fit both people and goods into the Vito Crew. 

Both the Crew and Panel Van are characterised by a balanced chassis, giving it passenger car-like driving characteristics. Safety and driver assistance systems such as the Parking Package with 360° camera^[h] make the Vito the perfect companion for your everyday tasks.

Safety First

Thanks to the increase in advanced safety features and the wide range of air bags in the Vito, it achieved a Euro NCAP five-star rating in 2025. It also includes PRE-SAFE®, a preventive occupant protection system which can identify potentially critical driving situations and initiate protective measures. This includes reversible tightening of the driver's and front passenger's seat belts and closing any open windows and roof systems if necessary. [c]

Go electric with the eVito 

The eVito Panel Van comes with a standard 85 kW electric battery (60 kWh high-voltage usable battery capacity), 160 miles electric range^[s] and fast 35-minute charging time^[t]. With zero local CO₂ emissions and low operating costs, the eVito Panel Van is the perfect choice for sustainable and cost-effective transportation.

With two benches in the rear, the eVito Tourer becomes a comfortable shuttle vehicle that meets all the requirements for modern passenger transport, with an agile and particularly quiet driving experience. Thanks to its flexible seating configurations that can be equipped with up to nine seats, this van meets the highest demands in terms of functionality and variability.

• Maximum cargo space of up to 6.6 m³ (Room for up to 3-euro pallets in the load compartment of the Vito Panel Van)
