The All-New Mercedes-Benz T-Class

02 May 2022

Introducing the all-new Mercedes-Benz T-Class; the new premium-small van for families and active leisure enthusiasts. This one for those who need lots of space when “life gets big”. At first glance, the new T-Class oozes practicality and versatility while donning the typical Mercedes-Benz design. So let’s dive deeper into this completely new model.

T-Class Features & Highlights

A huge amount of space means lots of flexibility and increased capability. The Mercedes-Benz T-Class does what you need it to do, whether that’s fitting extra passengers in the back, carrying a heavy load in the back, or transporting all your ever day equipment. Passengers can board easily using the sliding doors and with up to three child seats on the rear bench seat, there’s room for the whole family.

Fold down the rear seats and you’ll have room for whatever you need. You no longer need to worry about squeezing in a sofa or finding the perfect angle so your bike will fit. The T-Class’ low loading sill of just 561mm makes it easier to load heavy objects. You also have a choice of loading from three sides. The sliding doors provide an opening measuring 614mm wide and 1059mm high, and folding down the rear seats creates a flat loading area specifically for the day’s luggage.

The five-seater T-Class is 4498 mm long, 1859mm wide and 1811mm tall. A long wheel-base variant with up to seven seats has been confirmed to follow so keep your eye out for that.

Engine variants for the all-new Mercedes-Benz T-Class include T 160 d, T 180 d, t 160 and T 180.

Style and comfort

On par with a compact family car, the T-Class interior includes MBUX infotainment of the highest level.

The T-Class interior is on par with a Mercedes-Benz compact family car. Standard equipment and features include:

  • MBUX infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen
  • Smartphone integration
  • KEYLESS Start
  • Multifunctioning steering wheel with Touch Control buttons
  • Instrument cluster with 5.5 inch display
  • LED interior lighting
  • Ambient lighting (with Style and Progressive Line)

You can expect to find a sprinkle of Mercedes-EQ in the T-Class too. The door armrests and door centre panels include the contemporary and finely structured NEOTEX found in the all-electric vehicles. All T-Class models have a high-gloss black trim element in the instrument panel, while the interior and load compartment are carpeted.

T-Class safety

A total of seven airbags and numerous driving assistance systems come as standard with the all-new Mercedes-Benz T-Class. These include:

  • Hill Start Assist
  • Crosswind Assist
  • ATTENTION ASSIST
  • Fatigue warning system
  • Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist
  • Blind Spot Assist
  • Speed Limit Assist

More safety packages and features are available for added convenience and peace-of-mind depending on the model you choose.

The Focus on sustainability

As the Mercedes-EQ range expands to offer new all-electric solutions, we can look forward to welcoming the EQT to the fully-electric fleet. The EQT will combine the multi-functional and high-end appeal of the T‑Class with locally emission-free mobility – and in so doing also has its own unique character.
