City West Country secure 3rd place at Auto Trader Retailer Awards.

Mercedes-Benz South West were lucky to be among other leading car dealers attending Auto Trader’s 11^th annual retailer awards last week (19th July). Designed to make the purchasing process less daunting for consumers who are faced with growing choice, the accolades awarded at the event recognise the best retailers in the business. A new addition to this year’s judging process is Auto Trader’s performance league. With positions granted based on up-to-date customer feedback, the performance league has been introduced by Auto Trader to celebrate reputable dealerships in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Auto Trader’s group sales director Le Etta Pearce said: “To succeed in what is an increasingly challenging and competitive market, retailers need to convince today’s discerning car buyers that their brand is trustworthy and professional. As both the largest automotive marketplace and the most trusted, we’re in the unique position to help our customer do just that." City West Country achieved third place out of nearly 13,500 retailers. The rankings were based on mystery shop experiences, millions of Auto Trader data points and analysis of over 6,000 reviews submitted from authenticated car buyers. Auto Trader’s analysts used metrics including the volume and consistency of positive reviews and evident commitment to replying to both positive and negative reviews to inform their decision. City West Country, the organisation behind the Mercedes-Benz South West franchise, were delighted to be awarded 3rd place for retailers stocking 200+ cars.     Martin Green, General Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Taunton, was in attendance. He commented, “Achieving third place against such a volume of other retailers is a great achievement for us. We take all the reviews we receive very seriously, to both celebrate our successes and learn where improvement may be needed.
