How are we keeping you safe?

At Mercedes-Benz South West our highest priority is always the safety of our people; customers and staff alike. As we all adapt to the ‘new normal’ we’re making changes to the way we do business, in order to keep you safe, and to keep delivering the Mercedes-Benz promise of the best, or nothing.

As of 1st June all areas of our business are open for you to come and see us. We’ve implemented social distancing and additional cleaning measures in all aspects of our business to keep our community safe.

In Our Showrooms

We have been working hard to transform our showrooms into Covid-secure car dealerships to keep our community safe. We are thrilled to have received officially certified Covid-secure status which has been independently verified by an external risk assessor.

Keeping our distance: We’ll be ensuring that everyone keeps a safe distance in our dealerships with distancing markers and screens used where possible.

Keeping things Clean: Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout our dealerships. We will also be increasing our cleaning measure throughout the showrooms as well as in the cars.

Wherever necessary we will be utilizing steering wheel and seat covers, and our vehicle technicians will be keeping to social distancing guidance when carrying out work on your vehicle.

Face Coverings: From Friday 24th July we will be following government guidance regarding face coverings in shops, and politely request that customers wear face coverings when inside our dealerships. We will be providing masks on reception at each of our sites should you need one.

Unaccompanied Test Drives: We’ve updated our process to now offer unaccompanied test drives for our customers, so that you can still try the Mercedes-Benz experience before you buy.*

A Fully Sanitized Handover: We have implemented a fully sanitized handover process for vehicles, which focuses on sterilizing any contact points throughout and properly ventilating the vehicle. Dave Richardson, from our Taunton dealership, demonstrates below:

Of course, keeping safe is of paramount importance and we are also improving our services to help us come to you.

Video Walkarounds: Our team can send you a video demonstrating all of the key features of the vehicle that you’re interested in. Let the team know your specific requirements and questions and they’ll be sure to answer these for you.

Remote Valuations for Part Exchange: You can now upload photos and videos of your vehicle to receive an estimated valuation for your part exchange. This will then be subject to a socially-distanced physical appraisal which we can complete at your home.

Free 48 Hour Delivery: If you purchase a car from us we will get it delivered to your door in 48 hours**, with no extra cost. If you’ve got a car for Part-Exchange, then we will collect it at the same time.  Our free, 48 hour delivery service has been created in accordance with guidance from Public Health England, and ensures safety and peace of mind while bringing you a very special delivery.

Collection & Delivery: Available for Service* and Part Exchange customers. We are able to collect your Part Exchange vehicle when dropping off your new one. For Service customers, our Collection and Delivery Service will collect and return your vehicle to your home/workplace.
