At Mercedes-Benz South West our highest priority is always the safety of our people; customers and staff alike. We all may have become accustomed to the new normal and we’re continuing to make changes to the way we do business, in order to keep you safe, and to keep delivering the Mercedes-Benz promise of the best, or nothing.
Throughout the pandemic we have been following Government advice and best practice to keep our community safe, and have implemented additional distanced services so that you can still get the full Mercedes-Benz experience.
From the 19th July, we will be continuing to maintain our high hygiene standards and ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
In Our Dealerships
Face Coverings: We will continue to wear a face-covering around our showrooms to ensure peace of mind for anyone visiting our dealerships. We will only remove our masks in the showroom with the customer’s permission and when behind a perspex screen. Disposable masks will still be available for you if you wish to wear one when visiting us. Sanitization stations will remain throughout our dealerships too.
Temperature Checks: As an extra safety precaution, we will continue to conduct daily temperature checks for staff and customers entering our dealerships.
Additional Cleaning: Throughout this pandemic we have increased regularity of cleaning and sanitization in our dealerships and vehicles in order to keep you safe. This will also remain in place.
A Fully Sanitized Handover: We will continue to follow a fully sanitized handover process for vehicles, which focuses on sterilizing any contact points throughout and properly ventilating the vehicle. Dave Richardson, from our Taunton dealership, demonstrates below:
Coffee Lounges: Our full coffee lounge experience is returning to normal. When visiting our showrooms you are welcome to help yourself to a hot drink and sit in our waiting area.
Test Drives: We will be reintroducing accompanied test drives at your request. This will mean a member of our team will join you on your test drive, and will be able to show you features along the way.
Our unaccompanied test drives will also be available. If this is your preference and you have any questions or need an explanation of any features prior to your test drive or on your return our team will be on hand.
We have made the decision to remove our one way systems and relax our one metre social distancing rule, but we would encourage anyone visiting our showrooms to still be mindful of the safety of our staff and other guests.
Coming to You
The Mercedes-Benz South West experience is no longer just in our showrooms, we can come to you.
Test Drive from Home: We can come to you! Our Star Experts will deliver the vehicle to your home. They will give you a full walk through of the vehicle before your drive so you can fully test out all the technology. They can accompany you on your test drive at your request, or they can wait for you while you take it for a spin unaccompanied.
Live Video Appointments: Our team are on hand to answer your questions via Live Video chat, so that you can have your questions answered from the safety of your home.
Video Walkarounds: Our team can send you a video demonstrating all of the key features of the vehicle that you’re interested in. Let the team know your specific requirements and questions and they’ll be sure to answer these for you.
Remote Valuations for Part Exchange: You can now upload photos and videos of your vehicle to receive an estimated valuation for your part exchange. This will then be subject to a physical appraisal which we can complete at your home or at one of our dealerships if you’d prefer.
Free 48 Hour Delivery: If you purchase a vehicle from us we will get it delivered to your door in 48 hours*, with no extra cost. If you’ve got a vehicle for Part-Exchange, then we will collect it at the same time. Our free, 48 hour delivery service has been created in accordance with guidance from Public Health England, and ensures safety and peace of mind while bringing you a very special delivery.
Collection & Delivery: Available for Service* and Part Exchange customers. We are able to collect your Part Exchange vehicle when dropping off your new one. For Service customers, our Collection and Delivery Service will collect and return your vehicle to your home.
Keeping things Clean: Wherever necessary we will be utilizing steering wheel and seat covers. We will also be maintaining our cleaning measures throughout the showrooms as well as in the vehicles.
