Mercedes-Benz’s user experience system, MBUX, brings a fresh look, feel and ingenuity to your vehicle’s multimedia functionality. MBUX unveils new boundaries in touch, voice and gesture control. This is partnered by technologies that learn user behaviour for unrivalled individualisation.

MBUX allows you to adapt every detail of your vehicle to exactly meet your driving style. And now this is made easier than ever before. Control can be utilised via the high-definition touchscreen display, a touchpad on the centre console, Touch-Control buttons in the steering wheel and, in the latest editions, gesture control. In addition to an intuitive operating experience, less driver distraction is another advantage. An MBUX cockpit can come in three configurations: you can choose between two 7-inch displays, two 10.25-inch displays, or one of each. There are also three display styles to choose from: Classic, Sport and Understated.

A stand out feature of MBUX is its intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition. The wealth of features at your disposal inside your Mercedes-Benz – including temperature control, ambient lighting, and navigation – can all be controlled through voice activation. When you start a command with the key phrase “Hey Mercedes”, your Mercedes-Benz will respond to comments such as “I’m feeling cold” to turn up the heat or “I’m feeling hungry” to locate your nearest restaurant. A phrase such as "Hey Mercedes, take me to the nearest motorway services", would automatically open your vehicle map and your route would begin. Going a step further than conventional systems, MBUX utilises augmented reality. This offers a far more detailed, and therefore safe, navigation solution.

A revolution in the cockpit.

The MBUX system uses artificial intelligence that will learn your routine and preferences. It pre-sets your most used features in your “suggestions” shortcut but will also make suggestions based on your historic actions. It adapts to suit the user, remembering your frequent destinations, music preferences, cabin comfort settings and display preferences. All these settings can also be saved into a profile, allowing you to easily transfer preferences between drivers who share use of a vehicle.
