AMG Exterior Styling
Bold, striking, characteristic; everything you expect from an AMG but this time the typical Mercedes-EQ styling features and flavours has joined the party. The result? An unmistakable, brand-typical appearance paired with maximum aerodynamic efficiency.
The Mercedes-EQ design philosophy is reflected in generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions. The AMG-specific black panel grille with hot-stamped vertical struts in chrome represent the distinctive AMG design.
Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ Performance
At the heart of the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ is its powerful electric powertrain with one motor each at the front and rear axles. It is these that provide the capability for fully-variable AMG performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. But what about the stats?
The basic EQS specification achieves a maximum total output of 484 kW (658hp), with a maximum torque of 950 Nm. Add the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package and the output increases to 761hp in RACE START with boost function.
Getting to 60mph from a standing start will take you just 3.4 seconds with a battery charge of 75% or more, with a top speed limited to 155mph when the optional AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package is selected.
The outcome of both battery development and continued innovative vehicle design to therefore improve aerodynamics, is an impressive electric range of between 328-364 miles*.
Typical of Mercedes-AMG, a wide range of driving modes can be selected at the touch of a button by the driver to suit personal driving styles and preferences. You’ll find five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes which include “Slippery”, “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport+”, and “Individual”. Choosing different modes will impact the driving experience in various ways by impacting features on the vehicle such as suspension settings, performance characteristics, and steering.
Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ Interior
An interior dominated by style-defining AMG features and flavours. Thanks to the AMG seats, AMG performance steering wheel in Nappa leather, AMG sports pedals, AMG floor mats, and door sill trims “AMG” lettering, the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ provides a sporty ambience. The inclusion of ARTICO man-made leather, NEOTEX grain, MICROCUT microfiber, and red topstitching only adds to the luxurious feel within the vehicle.
As standard, the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ is equipped with the innovative MBUX Hyperscreen. This curved screen spans form A-pillar to A-pillar, where 3 screens are merged into one giving the driver and any passenger’s on-board access to the vehicle like never before. Integrated into the Hyperscreen are personalised driving solutions, preferences, numerous infotainment options and access to vehicle functions and comforts.
One feature you can control from the Hyperscreen is Ambient Lighting within the vehicle, where drivers can really set the scene. Choose from 64 colours, combine colours and adjust the brightness of the LEDs to create an atmosphere that matches your current mood or preference.
EQS 53 4MATIC+ Sound Experience
As well as striking appearance, a typical way of identifying a Mercedes-AMG has always been by the sound it produces; an essential part of the Mercedes-AMG driving experience. So how will mixing a loud AMG with a quiet all-electric work?
The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ brings a new, powerfully sonorous and unique sound to AMG electric driving. Using special speakers, a bass actuator and a sound generator, the sound system is able to provide either “Authentic” sound or “Performance” sound. The selected sound is generated inside and outside of the vehicle to match the current driving status and mode.
