Our Ambassadors: Ryan Lowe

Here at Mercedes-Benz South West we’re excited to have Plymouth Argyle Manager Ryan Lowe on board as one of our ambassadors. Ryan joined Plymouth Argyle as the First-Team Manager in June 2019 leading the team to a promotion in his first season at the club. As our Ambassador, Ryan will be supporting the work of Mercedes-Benz South West, including our work with local schools and sporting talent. We caught up with Ryan to find out a bit more about him: What is your earliest memory of Football and how did you get into it? I remember getting a ball for my birthday around aged 5 or 6 then going to play for a team called The Four Swallows. The rest is history! What is your most annoying habit?  Checking I have locked the car or the front door, knowing full well they’re locked! What are your top three favourite things about the Mercedes-Benz brand? The interior design, the quality of the drive and the look of them! Describe your dream road trip and who would you take with you? Driving along Route 66 with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola. How many times did it take you to pass your driving test? First time – after only 10 lessons. It was when there was no theory test though else it would’ve taken me much longer What was you first vehicle? A Red Rover 200 If you had one day free to spend anywhere in the South West where would you go? Probably down to St Ives on a sunny day What is an interesting fact about you? I’m a very kind and caring person, and very approachable! What is your proudest moment with PAFC? Getting promoted at the first attempt! What is your favourite vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz range? The Mercedes-Benz GLE Did you ever imagine yourself being the manager of a Football team in the early stages of your career? How does it feel now? I didn’t in the early part of my football career but in my early 30s I knew I wanted to be a manager at some point and I love every minute of it What song would you choose for Car Pool Karaoke? Adele - Hello What is your favourite pizza topping? Spicy hot meat – WOW!
