Easter is on the horizon and we want to get you and your families outdoors and experiencing new adventures together. To help you plan your half term, we have put together our pick of eggciting activities around the South West for some quality time with your family.

Cornwall

Easter Egg Hunt at Trerice

Embark on an adventure along the trail and discover a variety of nature-themed activities suitable for the entire family. This trail will run from Saturday 1st April to Sunday 16th April, from 10.30am to 4pm. Discover the breathtaking garden and house at Trerice. The cost of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil, and a scrumptious chocolate egg upon completion.

Easter Adventure Quest At Pendennis Castle

Take on the challenge of exploring the Pendennis Castle estate and uncovering a series of riddles and tasks that lead to traditional Easter games. Scour the grounds in search of Easter eggs and receive a certificate of achievement and a delectable chocolate reward. This exciting quest can be undertaken every day throughout the school holidays and with a blend of eggs, chocolate and family entertainment, it's a wonderful opportunity to experience history while enjoying the great outdoors this Easter.

Easter at Eden

This Easter, create lasting memories by engaging in a variety of fun and family-friendly games, crafts, and outdoor activities at Eden's Biomes. Discover the joys of the outdoors by taking a swing at our allotment golf course, searching for beneficial bugs that help maintain our crops, and participating in the pollination process using a giant slingshot! Once you’ve completed four of the Eden Project’s Easter activities head over to the pick'n'mix station for a delightful surprise.

Easter at Heligan - Roots, Shoots, Buckets and Boots!

Embrace the wonders of spring and head to the Heligan Garden’s Easter hunt that delves into the mysteries of nature. The hunt will entail discovering the marvels of the season, exploring the science and enchantment behind roots and shoots, and uncovering the dedication, expertise, and happiness that nature embodies.

FREE Easter Fun at Bernaville Nurseries

Who doesn’t like an eggcellent freebie? Head to Bernaville Nurseries for a free Easter trail. Grab activity on arrival and find the hidden Easter egg signs hidden around the nursery.

Easter Grotto at the Milky Way

Prepare for an unforgettable and exceptional Easter experience at the Milky Way! Between Saturday 1st and Friday 14th April, you will have the opportunity to journey down the rabbit hole and visit the Easter Bunny HQ, where you will meet the friendly Eggsperts who oversee the production of chocolate eggs for the entire world. Inside this magical world of the Eggsperts, you will participate in puzzles, music-making, and lots of other fun activities while learning about the clever egg production process. Finally, you'll enter the Easter Bunny's front room, where children aged 1-10 can meet the Bunny and receive a chocolatey treat!

Centenary Rocks – Easter Workshops at Paignton Zoo

This year Paignton Zoo is hosting Centenary Rocks, their free pebble decorating Easter workshops. Decorate a pebble and either take it home or leave it with us and your artwork can form part of their CentenaryRocks display at their BIG Birthday ZOOnanza in July.

Easter Fun Canonteign Falls

Experience the wonders of nature at Canonteign Falls this Easter. Delight in the adventure playgrounds, equipped with trampolines, a wooden galleon, zip wire, and mini assault course. The journey up to the Falls presents a thrilling challenge for children, who will also enjoy seeking out our resident fairies and willow animals, including Terence the T-Rex, as they hunt for eggs along the Easter trail. Their spring celebration features a delightful table-based tea, consisting of scrumptious sandwiches and Easter-themed confectionaries, as well as an age-appropriate activity pack for each child, featuring a variety of thrilling Easter games and pastimes. Moreover, both children and adults are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Easter finery, with a prize for the best costume up for grabs on the day!
